make a stir initiatives

“Brouhaha” is a noun that refers to an excited reaction. It can also describe a commotion or a stir, which is exactly what our company is doing in the tea industry, we are making a stir with eco-sustainability, a commitment or flavor and premium tea leaves with a high energy team and community.  We named our efforts to make an impact in the environment and communities our Make a Stir program.

Farming communities

The Make A Stir program is devoted to making a difference by using proceeds from tea sales to aid non-profit organizations in addressing major global crises. We help our farmers and their communities protect and preserve the environment by teaching and implementing sustainable farming techniques, such as agroforestry, organic agriculture, and permaculture. We also provide economically disadvantaged farmers access to valuable resources to achieve this. Our support extends beyond farming to programs that offer our farming communities pathways beyond farming through higher education and career building.

clean water programs

In addition, we promote sustainable water access. Consistent access to water is crucial for human survival and growing crops, which is why we support programs that implement rainwater harvesting systems and wells to provide water to a community.  The water crisis is a health crisis, with 1 in 10 people lacking access to safe water and 1 in 4 lacking access to a toilet. The lack of access to safe water or sanitation causes nearly 1 million deaths each year from water, sanitation and hygiene-related diseases. Every 2 minutes, a child dies from a water-related disease. Access to safe water and sanitation contributes to improved health and helps prevent the spread of infectious disease.

wildlife conservation

We recognize the importance of wildlife conservation in preserving animals, plants, and their habitats. By conserving wildlife, we ensure that future generations can enjoy our natural world and the incredible species that live within it. Wildlife conservation is not just important for animals but for all living things. Conservation keeps our environment clean and healthy, helps reduce flooding, fires, desertification, and prevents droughts. Animal, plant and marine biodiversity keeps ecosystems functional, which allows us to survive, obtain enough food to eat and make a living.
