Part time positions

Event Coordinator & Sales Rep

In this role, you will be responsible for sales, product education, serving tea samples, booth setup/ take-down, inventory, point-of sale activities (cashier) and promoting the Brouhaha Tea Co. brand, mission and company culture at selected events such as Farmer’s Markets, Festivals, Vendor Shows, Tea Parties and More! 

The right candidate will be knowledgeable about the range of Brouhaha Tea Co. products and ways to maintain a sustainable lifestyle in terms of self care and environmental impact. You must also be passionate about our teas as you will have many client-facing tasks, such as explaining products or production processes, and maintaining positive customer & event partner relations.

You will standout to us with your excellent communication skills, self confidence,  pleasant and outgoing personality, ability to work independently, extreme attention to detail, radiance, creative ability for retail display setups as well as following precise instructions,  interpersonal & customer service skills.

Important things to consider:

It is important to consider that at this phase in our company we we are a rapidly growing start-up and unexpected events can pop-up on our calendar without much advance notice.

 

Flexibility with regards to  scheduling is ideal for this position. We are expected to attend as many events as possible at this stage to spread as much awareness as possible. Work-life balance is an important cornerstone of our company culture so we strive to give our event employees as much notice as possible. We hope if you choose to keep up with the fast and possibly sporadic pace of our schedule, that you will understand your value to us and know that this commitment to our company with stellar performance will ensure first consideration once full-time positions become available in this field or in another department.

 

It is also important to consider that this role requires physical stamina, and physical tasks such as the ability to lift boxes, balance, open an event tent independently, table setup and disassembly, and carrying materials possibly long distances (to the parking lot or loading zone from the event space). There will be limited climate control at certain events such as Farmer’s Markets and all outdoor events apart from a fan or shade from the company tent.  In the event of rain, you will be expected to properly plan for sheltering products that are not protected by the tent and to still safely,  securely and accurately perform take-down and disassembly activities.

 

This role will require working on weekends. All employees are required to wear a Brouhaha Tea Shirt and/or Apron.  Compensation for this role is at a daily rate, + with sales bonuses.

 

Tea Production & Food Handler

These positions are available on an On-Call basis at this time.

Retail Production & Packaging:

 Extreme attention to detail is imperative to this position and the ability to work quickly on repetitive tasks without sacrificing quality.

In this role you will be responsible for packing product at our commercial facility into retail packaging with care, extreme attention to detail and following all sanitary guidelines.  This includes but is not limited to sorting ingredients, understanding and applying units of measure and conversions, weighing product, quality control measures, and updating inventory. Sorting and delicately placing appropriate retail product labels and seals will be required.

Food Handling Responsibilities:

Brouhaha Tea Co. will be licensed to serve food at the end of 2022. We are considering our Tea Production employees in our Food Handler roles on an on-call basis and for first consideration when we open our physical Tea Bar & Pizza Lounge location. 

In this role you will be responsible for working with unpackaged foods, hot and cold teas/beverages and preparing them to be enjoyed by customers at events, while following all necessary food safety guidelines. Our food handlers will need to be able to work without supervision and maintain both their focus and quality. You will need to have complete knowledge of our menu and assist our customers with any requests, questions or comments. You will also have to ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority and check them for accuracy and presentation while assisting with any Point of Sale food activities as needed. 

All food and drink stations must be maintained in a clean and orderly manner throughout the event.

As a food handler, you will need to be knowledgeable of all food health and safety regulations and be able to work well in a team. You will also need to have your food handler’s license in order to qualify for this position and we can assist you with this if you do not have one.  At events, all employees are required to wear a Brouhaha Tea Shirt and/or Apron. Food and Production employees will also be required to wear hair coverings and gloves.

Compensation for this role is at an hourly rate wage with tips.
